Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah by William Williams

Inarguably, the most widely sung and best known of Wiliam Williams's hymns, Guide me, O Thou Great Jehovah was originally written in the Welsh language. The hymn, which likens life's progress to the journey of Israel toward the Promised Land, expresses strong spiritual feeling in a direct, emotional language.

The hymn is sometimes sung in its original Welsh form by Welsh rugby supporters and, like many British hymns, has been adopted as an unofficial anthem for sporting teams and events. The hymn was sung at the funeral of Diana, Princess of Wales.
